Qohua Team Visits Ruang Mimpi Coffee: Exploring Two Master Roasters' Experience with Roastrix400 PRO

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Qohua team from Qimtronics stepped into Ruang Mimpi Coffee. This time, we came to meet with two experienced figures in the coffee industry: Kang Yudi and Kang Angga. The goal was simple: to hear directly about their experience using Roastrix400 PRO.

Kang Yudi is a professional roaster with 23 years of experience in the coffee industry, since 2003. His career journey started as a barista, but in the last 13 years, his focus shifted to roasting, bean development, and coffee farm exploration. Kang Angga, meanwhile, is a master roaster who has been involved in the coffee world since 2013, with deep insights into roasting and quality standards.

Their experience with the machine differs: Kang Yudi has been using Roastrix400 PRO for 4 months, while for Kang Angga this was his first time trying it.

Kang Yudi shared that the learning curve was short — even beginners can operate the machine because it already has ready-to-use recipes built in. The key, he explained, is recognizing the machine's performance first; after that, the development process can start right away with no significant technical barriers.

The automation feature became the aspect Kang Yudi appreciated most. Once he's found a recipe that works, the automatic feature lets him repeat the same process in the next batch without worrying, providing reliable consistency. Kang Yudi had invited his partners several times to see or try the machine. Interestingly, their first impression wasn't from its physical form, but from its features — seeing the tablet app and the automatic and manual demonstrations immediately sparked their enthusiasm.

It was then Kang Angga's turn to roast directly with Roastrix400 PRO. His first impression was that this is an advanced machine that really supports the development of the roasting industry. He felt the automatic feature supported the entire process smoothly from beans going in to coming out — for a master roaster, this automation matters because it ensures repeatability and consistency batch to batch, a crucial aspect of quality coffee production.

Kang Yudi hoped the Qohua team could develop larger batches for wider-scale production needs, while Kang Angga gave input on machine development for even larger production scale and artisan roasters.
